There is a very old joke about there being only two seasons in Toronto; winter and construction. Well, my neighbours are proving that once again. For some reason, they began proving it at 8:30 yesterday morning. I understand the need to get such heavy work going before the heat really kicks in but seriously, 8:30 on a Saturday morning with band saws, drills, and shovelling rubbish off the roof into a huge bin? I kept getting looks like this from Elly and Ivan; who had apparently decided that since the noise persisted I must not hear it so it was up to them to get in my face to tell me.

That made me laugh, thankfully, because it reminded me to refocus. Zen is the acceptance of the situation and an ability to not have your inner peace unbalanced by it. So, I decided to remember this, instead

I'll remember that, today, as well, since construction resumed this morning... Stay Zen my friends
